Wiley Edmonson, 77, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at East View Manor in Trenton, Missouri.

He was born January 17, 1947, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of Thomas and Birlece (White) Edmonson.

Wiley served his country in the United States Air Force, a commitment he held dear, though he rarely spoke of it. Still, his deep respect for the flag and his nation echoed loudly.

He was united in marriage on September 6, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois to Donna Ann Stewart who preceded him in death on November 18, 2023.

Wiley devoted over 32 years to Modine Manufacturing Company in Jefferson City, Missouri, starting as their 13th hire in 1980. Throughout his career as a Machinist, he demonstrated strong work ethic and steadfast commitment until his retirement in 2012.

A man of strong faith, Wiley was a member of Second Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, embracing his role with diligence.

Apart from his church and professional responsibilities, he found joy in various hobbies such as music, fishing, reading, cooking, assisting his daughter with handyman tasks, and relishing any opportunity to be outdoors tending to his yard.

Wiley took great pleasure in caring for his grandkids, whether   purchasing their favorite snacks or shuttling them to school. He was a natural provider, and found joy in looking after them.

Survivors include two daughters, Alicia Edmonson, Jefferson City; Jemese (Kenneth) Drewery, Columbia; six grandchildren, Kyan Edmonson, Elias Edmonson, Maya Edmonson, Naomi Edmonson, Amara Drewery, Malia Drewery; and five siblings, W.T. (Gwen) Edmonson, Jefferson City; Dorothy (Richard) Parks, Holts Summit; Thomas (Shirley) White, Hayti, MO; Chester (Sandra) Edmonson, Virginia; and Alford Edmonson, Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Floyd McDaniel, Jr.
