Thomas Edward Ramatowski

Thomas Edward Ramatowski, 66, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born July 4, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Chester Harry and Irma Christine (Mueller) Ramatowski. He was united in marriage on August 13, 1983, in Jefferson City, to Marcia Kay Morrow who survives at the home. After serving in the Army Reserves, Tom served as a police officer for the St. Louis Police Department. He spent 30 years at the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant as an Operating Supervisor, Training Supervisor, and Work Week Manager. Following his retirement from the Power Plant, he worked for Procedure Solutions Management and was an avid gun show exhibitor. He was a member of First Baptist Church, NRA, United Sportsman Club, USPSA, and the Hill Toppers Car Club. He volunteered and served on the board for ABLE Learning Center, and volunteered with CERT. He enjoyed classic cars, guns and shooting competitions, fishing, and especially loved time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Ramatowski, Jefferson City; two children, John Curtis JC (Lauren) Ramatowski, Kansas City; Amy Christine Ramatowski (Vernon Doku), Kansas City; one granddaughter, Eliza Naaki Doku; and one grandchild on the way. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Doyle Sager officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to ABLE Learning Center, Eliza Scholarship Fund, Baby Ramatowski Scholarship Fund, and United Sportsman Club. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
