Scott Mitchel Vaughan

Scott Mitchel Vaughan, 41, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his residence.

He was born June 4, 1979, in Jefferson City, the son of Herbert Mitchel and Debbie (Grothoff) Vaughan.

Scott was a 1997 graduate of Helias High School.

He currently worked for the University of Missouri Office of Animal Resources as a research technician. Scott enjoyed golf, baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals, being with his friends, attending Octoberfest in Hermann, and animals.

Survivors include his parents, Herbert and Debbie Vaughan, Centertown; paternal grandmother, Martha Vaughan, Dixon; his brother, Gary Vaughan, Columbia; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herbert Vaughan; and maternal grandparents, Francis and Rosemary Grothoff.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Doke officiating.

Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church.
