Robert Leo “Bob” Peitzmeyer, 70, of Taos, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
He was born September 27, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of Anthony William and Agatha Elizabeth (Eiken) Peitzmeyer.
Bob worked in the auto body repair field for various dealerships and garages. He mostly recently worked part time for O’Reilly Auto Parts as a delivery driver until August when his health declined.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos, the Mid- MO Car Club, and enjoyed attending car shows.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Nilges, St. Martins; Diane (Robert “Bob”) Brandt, Hartsburg; two nieces, Julie Fischer, Lisa (Billy) Ivy; two nephews, Kevin (Beth) Nilges, Keith (Patricia) Nilges; 10 great nieces and nephews; 2 great-great nieces; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Larry Nilges.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with the Rev. Kelechi Uzuegbu officiating.
Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Mid-MO Car Club Scholarship or to the Leukemia Research Foundation.
