Peggy Ann Lemons, 69 of Jefferson City passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born September 19, 1951 in Springfield, MO to the late John and Goldie (Cromer) Wright. Peggy enjoyed her career as a Cole County Soil and Water Conservation District specialist. She also served as the Executive Director for the Missouri Association Soil and Water Conservation District. Peggy had a passion for the annual Envirothon. Her dedication to her career showed having worked at the Cole County office for over 36 years. Peggy loved taking care of her family especially her four grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading, watching the backyard birds, playing Sudoku and solving crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight of Jefferson City, three children, Brian (Jill) of Jefferson City, David (Lisa) of Columbia, Valerie (Don) Lydolph of Charlotte, NC, four grandchildren, Kellyn, Katelyn, Charlie and Emily, two sisters, Vicki Holton, Linda Atkins, and one brother, John (Ellen) Wright Jr. , all of Springfield, MO. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Leon Holton and Charlie Atkins.
Private family services will be held.
Dulle Trimble Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
