Norma Jean Proctor

Norma Jean (Shikles) Proctor, 89, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Summit Villa in Holts Summit.
She was born June 28, 1928, in Russellville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Earl William and Mildred Bertha (Hale) Shikles.
Norma was a graduate of Russellville High School.
She was united in marriage on January 17, 1948, at Enon Baptist Church in Enon, Missouri to Kenneth Nelson Proctor who preceded her in death on July 7, 2001.
Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She also had worked for Chesebrough-Ponds, Missouri Department of Revenue, and for the Cole County Library.
She was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church in Enon, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially “rocking those babies.” Children always brought a smile to her face.
Survivors include six children, Linda (Jay) Acock, Russellville; Kenneth (Joan) Proctor, Wentworth. MO; Sharon (Larry) Brizendine, Jefferson City; Nancy (Bill) Street, Liberty, MO; Daniel (Cindy) Proctor, Jefferson City; Neva (Danny) Bryant, Russellville; 30 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Shikles, Wakefield, MA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, James Shikles.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017, at Enon Baptist Church in Enon, Missouri, with Jared Proctor and Michael Acock officiating.
Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Enon Baptist Church, 55754 Highway A, Russellville, MO 65074.
