Norma Jean Augustine

Norma Jean Augustine, 78, Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Jefferson City Manor.

She was born February 1, 1936, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Joseph Frederick and Mary Magdaline (Barrett) Gerbes.

She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School.

She was married in 1958 to Harold Leroy Holliday in Jefferson City and later to Kenny Augustine in Jefferson City.  Both are deceased.

Norma was a housekeeper at the Ramada Inn and later for the Doubletree Hotel, retiring in 2019.

She loved to read and go shopping.

Survivors include her a daughter, Cynthia Holliday; a sister, Carol (Lloyd) Ousley; a granddaughter, Holly Holliday; a great-grandson, Brandon, all of Jefferson City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; two sons, Stephan Holliday, and Ronald Holliday; and three brothers, Charles Gerbes, Robert Gerbes, and William Gerbes.

The family will hold a celebration of Norma’s life at a later date.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
