Mary Elizabeth Bollinger, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Jefferson City Manor.
She was born March 3, 1931, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Hoelscher) Kraus.
Mary was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter High School.
She was united in marriage on May 17, 1952, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City to John Anthony Bollinger who preceded her in death on October 25, 2020.
Mary worked for the Missouri State Highway Department, Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri State Board of Training Schools, Bankers Life and Casualty Company, and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education where she retired March 31, 1993.
She was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculata Club, and a church choir member for many years. She was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Den Mother and a lifetime member of the Jefferson City Association of Educational Office Personnel.
Mary volunteered for the Missouri River Hospice, Option Care, Immaculate Conception Church, and the Samaritan Center.
Survivors include three children, Dennis (Denise) Bollinger, Franklin, TN; Janet Bollinger, O’Fallon, MO; Carol (Daniel) Schmer, Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Michael (Bevin) Schmer, Jason (Ann) Bollinger, Julie Bollinger; and two great-grandchildren, Jillian Schmer, Brooks Bollinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Bollinger; and six siblings, the Rev. Robert Kraus, Wilfred Kraus, Raymond Kraus, Sylvia Stiefermann, Harry Kraus, and Cecil Kraus.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tony Onyeihe officiating.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.
