Lucy Naoma Ruegsegger, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully Friday, August 9, 2019, at Adams Street Place surrounded by family.
She was born September 14, 1925, in Waterflow, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Lucius and Corilla (Stallings) Clements.
She was united in marriage on November 15, 1947, in Navajo, Arizona to Vern Ruegsegger who preceded her in death.
Lucy owned and operated a network of beauty salons for many years. Lucy was a strong catholic who derived much strength from her faith. She also enjoyed the companionship of her pet dogs over the years.
Lucy was a long-time resident of California, most recently Desert Hot Springs and Simi Valley, before moving to Jefferson City to be near her sister, Jerri Oligschlaeger. She enjoyed going to casinos and watching TV shopping shows.
She is survived by one sister, Mary (John) Bartlett, Tucson, Arizona; many nieces and nephews, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, James Ruegsegger; five sisters including Jerri Oligschlaeger; and three brothers.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 6 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating.
