If Junior wasn’t home taking care of his girls, you might find him searching for a new favorite restaurant or driving around the countryside enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.  For over 42 years, he delivered propane for Ready Gas and then for Gasco.  Not only did Junior love the freedom of the road but the close friendships he made with his customers.   He later drove for OATS Transit and then for his family business at We Care Medical Transportation.  Junior and Kathy are members of First Church of God, Jefferson City.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy, two daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Shikles-Jackson and Amy (Eraster Smith) Shikles-Grim, his little dog, CJ, all of Jefferson City, sister, Darlene (Darrel) Hunt of Willard and sister-in-law, Cindy Shikles of Joplin and many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own.  Junior was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and his wife, Liahla Shikles, Curt Shikles and his beloved nephew, Anthony Gilpin.
