LAVERNE EVELYN TAYLOE

Laverne Evelyn Tayloe, 80, of Jefferson City, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Jefferson City Manor Care Center. She was born on June 7, 1925 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of John and Evelyn Green Hartman. She was married on Feb. 21, 1969 in Arnold, MO to Vernon Tayloe who died on Dec. 9, 1973. Mrs. Tayloe was the first female manager employed by the Fuller Brush Company in St. Louis where she served for twelve years until her retirement in 1981. She was House Mother for Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at the University of Missouri for many years. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kristen Behrns, Jefferson City; one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Melvin LeGrand, Arnold, MO; two granddaughters and husbands, Kimberly and Steve Dobbins, Imperial, MO; and Melanie and Chad Kies, St. Charles, MO; six great-grandchildren, Breanne Birnstill, Brandon Birnstill, Michael Dobbins, and Liam Dobbins, all of Imperial, MO; and Grace Kies and Benjamin Kies, both of St. Charles, MO; and one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Antal, Chesterfield, MO. Private family services will be held at a later date at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, St. Louis. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
