Jerome Bernard Wolken

Jerome Bernard Wolken, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born December 7, 1930, in Jefferson City the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Prenger) Wolken.

Jerome served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was united in marriage on October 16, 1954, in Argyle, Missouri to Josephine M. Hagenhoff who survives.

Jerome worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory for 16 years, Reinsch Radio and TV for 2 years, and worked for Stieferman Heating and Cooling for 37 years as a service man.

He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and being a jack-all-tradesman.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Wolken, Jefferson City; six children, Paul Wolken, California; Mary Kay (Paul) Kirkweg, Jefferson City; Connie (Eddie) Forck, Ashland; Charlotte Wolken, Hallsville; David (Lisa) Wolken, Jefferson City; Janie (Coby) Holzschuh, Freeburg; fifteen grandchildren, Travis (Victoria) Wolken, Renee Wolken, Jenny (Brandon) Eiken, Matthew Kirkweg, Brian (Jennifer) Forck, Sandy Cryderman, Jessica (Will) Wright, Timothy (Marcie) Forck, Darrell (Jessica) Wolken, Stephanie (Eric) Weiler, Andrew (Lillian) Wolken, Adam (Taylor) Wolken, Crystal Wolken, Lexi Holzschuh, Kennedy Holzschuh; 26 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Rosemary Bishop, St. Louis

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark (Becky) Wolken; two great-grandchildren, twins Joseph Gabriel and Nicholas Michael Wolken; two brothers, Martin Wolken and Gabriel (Theresa) Wolken; and a nephew, Phillip Wolken.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Louis Nelen officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Cathedral Foundation.
