Jane Frances Rackers, 84, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Oak Tree Villas.
She was born April 1, 1935, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Bernard John and Margaret Caroline (Vetter) Rackers.
Jane attended St. Peter Grade School and St. Peter High School, graduating in 1954.
She had been employed by Von Hoffman Press in Jefferson City for nearly 50 years. Jane was a charter member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
Jane enjoyed traveling, and had traveled extensively including trips to Hawaii as well as other locations around the United States and Europe. Jane filled many scrapbooks and photo albums with pictures and mementos of her travels, her family, and her long-time friends.
She is survived by one brother, Robert (Mary) Rackers, Jefferson City; one niece, Kathleen (Danny) Fischer, Warrenton; two nephews, Thomas Rackers, Jefferson City; Gregory (Sandra) Rackers, Kansas City; two great-nephews, Benjamin Rackers and Michael Rackers; and one great-niece, Katie Rackers, all of Kansas City,
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frederick Rackers; and one sister, Virginia Rackers.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Louis M. Nelen officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
