Gerard Joseph Eiken, 66, of Taos, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on March 1, 1956, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Harold Vincent and Theresa Bernadine (Brandt) Eiken.
He was a 1974 graduate of Helias Catholic High School.
Gerard worked for Modine as a Production Supervisor retiring after over 40 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, bird watching, gardening, taken trips with his kids to watch NASCAR racing, and working with his son in the shop. He was also a gun collector and talented welder.
Survivors include his father, Harold Eiken, Holts Summit; his children, Amanda (Jake) Powers, Linn; Matthew (Renata) Eiken, Smithville, MO; two grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Powers; three siblings, Randy (Shelley) Eiken, Lori (Todd) Haller and Shelly (Chris) Wieberg, all of Jefferson City; and one brother-in-law, Gary (Lora) Bruemmer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Eiken; and two sisters, Karen Bruemmer and Pamela Eiken.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City.
Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes with the Rev. I.C. Medina officiating.
Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial are suggested to the American Heart Association.
