Geraldine "Jary" Blackmon

Geraldine “Jary” Blackmon, 38, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023.

She was born March 9, 1985 in St. Louis to Larry and Helene Littleton.

Jary achieved her LPN license from Nichols Career Center and went on to become a Registered Nurse while attending Lincoln University.  Jary had a gift for helping others.  Her nursing career allowed her to help the elderly in several local nursing homes, patients in the Fulton State Hospital and as a traveling nurse practicing in Kansas City, Wisconsin and currently with St. Luke’s Behavior Health in Phoenix, AZ. 

She had a beautiful smile, friendly personality and a sense of humor that will always be remembered.  Whether it was hiking in the mountains, biking or enjoying nature, Jary loved being outdoors.   She was a great cook and thought herself to be an accomplished “artist”.

Survivors include her father, Larry Littleton of Troy, her mother, Helene Higgins of Fulton, two daughters, Rhakala Blackmon and Gabrielle Blackmon of New Bloomfield, a sister, Rhonda Higgins of San Diego, CA and her close friend, Jessica Wheeler of Jefferson City.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Lorenzo Corleone.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Trimble Funeral Homes, 3210 N. Ten Mile Dr., Jefferson City.  Sharing of memories will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Longview Cemetery, Jefferson City.    trimblefunerals.com
