Gary Vincent Struemph

September 24, 1962 — March 22, 2018

Gary Vincent Struemph, 55, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his residence. Gary was born September 24, 1962, in Jefferson City, the son of August Fred Gus and Margie (Buschjost) Struemph. Gary was a 1980 graduate of Helias High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Lincoln University. He was united in marriage on September 11, 1993, to Kimberly Ruppel McKinney at Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City. Gary began his career in the computer information technology field, later transitioning into building management for Sprint while also attending Lincoln University. After graduating, Gary began working for the Knights of Columbus as a field Agent and eventually became a top General Agent. Throughout his 27 years with the Knights he achieved numerous awards and was highly regarded as a top performer, qualifying for 25/27 of the Annual Incentive Trips. He was a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Gary spent his life dedicated to his work but also to his family. Summers were spent pulling his daughters tubing behind the boat. He also enjoyed attending his daughters cheer competitions, family cross country road-trips, golfing with friends, biking, morning coffees with Kim, hunting - yes hunting, sneaking ice cream, and regularly taking in new household pets ranging from a pot bellied pig to a set of sugar gliders. In addition to family, Gary was passionate about his work. Often working appointments until late hours. On March 22nd Gary received a call, a sort of offer you cant refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. The assignment will take him to new heights. He will experience reunions with friends & family he hasnt seen in a long time. Gary will be assigned to watch over his loved ones for an indefinite period - a task he knows well and is best suited for. Gary is survived by his wife, Kim Struemph, five children, Paul (Kelly) McKinney, Carolyn McKinney, Victoria Struemph, Natalie Struemph, Isabelle Struemph, his mother, Margie Struemph, brother, Darius Struemph, his sister-in-law, Carol Struemph Harrison, two nieces, Cassie Struemph Melloway and Katie Struemph, three grandchildren, Bronson McKinney, Bayley Johnson, Kingston Bommarito, and his mother-in-law, Carolyn (Dennis) Schubert.
