Doris Ann Boes

Doris Ann Boes, 70, of Westphalia, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 26, 1952, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Herman Henry and Mary Ann (Brester) Rothove.

She attended Folk Grade School and graduated from Fatima High School in 1970.

She was united in marriage on June 9, 1978, in Jefferson City to Edward George Boes, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2018.

Doris worked for Chesebrough Ponds for twenty-three years and then worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol for twenty years doing data entry.

Doris was the oldest of six children in her family and helped her mother take care of the younger ones.  She was a generous and gentle lady. She loved giving gifts and cards to her family, reading, and collecting antiques.  Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Allison, who she and her husband raised for twenty-two years.  Allison was their pride and joy.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Rothove, Westphalia; granddaughter, Allison Boes, Westphalia; three brothers, John (Linda) Rothove, Westphalia; Steve Rothove, Mikado, Michigan; and Bill (Wanda) Rothove, Bonnots Mill; two sisters, Carol Rothove, Jefferson City; and Peggy (Danny) Fechtel, Westphalia; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman, husband, Eddie, and a sister-in-law, Katie Rothove.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia.
