Deborah Scheppers, 59, of Jefferson City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was born May 31, 1962 in Omaha, NE to Susan (Ramirez) Urich of Jefferson City and the late Warren “Al” Urich. Deborah graduated from Westside High School in Omaha. She continued her education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City achieving her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. On March 18, 1989, Deborah married Paul Scheppers at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jefferson City.
Deborah had worked as a Registered Nurse for nearly 30 years, with 18 years spent at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was currently employed at Preferred Family Health Care. When she wasn’t working, Deborah enjoyed creating and stamping homemade cards and crafting. One of her favorite hobbies was photography documenting all the various family outings and get togethers. Even though she could be tough and stubborn at times, Deborah always put others first with love and empathy. She lived her life knowing that “family is everything and to cherish every moment”.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of Jefferson City, her children, Ashley Urich- Lewis of Sun Prairie, WI, Constance Scheppers of Jefferson City, James Scheppers of Columbia, her mother, Susan Hankins of Jefferson City and two sisters, Antoinette Baxter of Omaha, NE and Kelly Irvin of Freemont, NE. Besides her father, Deborah was further preceded in death by a sister, Amy Fischer, stepfather, James Hankins and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Consuela Ramirez.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Father Don Antweiler officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
