Cornelia “Corky” Dietrich, 103, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully at her home in New Jersey, on October 19, 2021.
Born Cornelia Braden on July 14, 1918, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was raised in Utica, Missouri where she met her future husband, Joseph E. Dietrich (1916-1994).
Both were faithful members of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and were a Knight and Lady of the Holy Sepulcher.
Until her retirement, Corky was the assistant Chief Clerk for the House of Representatives for the State of Missouri for over 25 years.
Corky moved to Teaneck, NJ in 2004 to be closer to her immediate family. She found a second home at St. Anastasia Church, and quickly made new friends as she became involved with church and in her new community. She was as devoted to her family as she was to her faith.
Survives include her son, Gary Dietrich (Laura); grandson, Joseph (Phil); granddaughter, Elizabeth (Mike); and many nieces and nephews.
Her family is also grateful for the loving care of Grace Boamah for the last six years of Corky’s life.
Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Committal service will follow at Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.
