Clarence Joseph Koenigsfeld, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Heisinger Bluffs.
He was born July 29, 1940, in Chamois, Missouri to Joseph Alexander and Clara (Troesser) Koenigsfeld.
He was a high school graduate of La Salette Seminary School.
He was united in marriage on November 18, 1961, in Westphalia to Marjorie Louise Feltrop who survives at the home.
For over five decades, he was the proud owner and operator of Toby's Cabinet Shop, a testament to his strong work ethic and innate talent for woodworking. He made it a point of pride to involve his children in the business, fostering a sense of family and camaraderie.
He actively participated in various organizations including the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Knights of Columbus Council 12992, Jefferson City Jaycees, Elks Lodge #513, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
When not engrossed in work or community engagements, Clarence relished escaping to the family cabin situated by the Osage River. There, he found solace in boating and indulged in various watersports with a particular fondness for water skiing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Koenigsfeld, Jefferson City; six children, Riotta Scott, Columbia; Joe (Konnie) Koenigsfeld, Jefferson City; Wes (Sandra) Koenigsfeld, Bonnots Mill; Marya (Scott) Amos, Jefferson City; Josh Koenigsfeld (Nacole Frank), Taos; Breanna Salcedo (Danny Salcedo), Jefferson City; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, Ann Goeke, Jefferson City; Rose Talken, Jefferson City; LaVerne Lage, Jefferson City; George (Sarah) Koenigsfeld, Frankenstein; Marilyn Herigon, Jefferson City; Leon (Eileen) Koenigsfeld, Frankenstein; Frannie Veltrop, Russellville; and Andy (Mary Pat) Koenigsfeld, Bonnots Mill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Kenny Koenigsfeld; daughter, Jacinda “Jackie” Koenigsfeld; a grandson, Jude Koenigsfeld; a sister, Sr. Viola Koenigsfeld; and a brother, Raymond Koenigsfeld.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph Undercroft with the Rev. Louis Nelen officiating.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
