Clarence Herman Wilbers, 89, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on March 30, 1918, in Jefferson City, the son of Louis and Mary Mehmert Wilbers. He was married on May 20, 1948, in Jefferson City to Mabel Johanna Rackers, who died on July 25, 2004. He was a life long dairy and beef farmer. Mr. Wilbers was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a former member of the church choir; Holy Name Society; Fraternal Order of Eagles 2693; NFO; and participated over twenty years in St. Stanislaus Perpetual Adoration Hour. He was an avid horseshoe pitcher winning many trophies, enjoyed bowling, loved to sing, and was a dedicated Cardinal baseball fan. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Morris and Jeannie Wilbers, Butler, MO; Jerry and Ruth Wilbers, Jefferson City; three daughters and sons-in-law, Valda and Ed Stroesser, Jefferson City; Elaine Bryan, Jefferson City; and Carol and Chad Jones, Lees Summit, MO; ten grandchildren, Elisha Wilbers, Eric Wilbers, Scott Wilbers, Amy Wilbers, Sarah Stroesser, Daniel Stroesser, Rachel Bryan, Grant Bryan, Evan Jones, and Travis Jones; and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Wilbers. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Marcellus Wilbers; one brother, Paul Wilbers; and three sisters, Sr. Louise Wilbers; Josephine Wilbers; and Sr. Marie Wilbers. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan, officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22nd , at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E.
