Charles David “Chuck” Williams, 97, of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Adams Street Place.

He was born July 19, 1926, in Doniphan, Nebraska, the son of Charles E. and Vera (Hugel) Williams.

Chuck served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

He was united in marriage on April 3, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska to Donna Mae Wickard who survives at the home.

Chuck devoted over 38 years of his life to the United Telephone Company, culminating in his retirement in 1983 as Assistant Vice President.
 
Chuck found solace and community in various organizations, including his membership with the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ, the Veterans of Foreign War, Masonic Lodge in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the Tehama Shrine Temple, Lincoln Nebraska.
 
Chuck's true joy was found in the simple pleasures of life. He took pride in being his wife's trusted helper and found relaxation in tending to their yard.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Williams, Holts Summit; two children, Brenda King, Jefferson City; David (Angela) Williams, Olathe, KS; two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Williams; a sister, Esther Brewer; and a brother, Clifford Williams.
