Charles "Charlie" Stoehr

December 23, 1950 — June 14, 2022

Charles F. Stoehr, 71 of Jefferson City passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at River City Living Community.

He was born December 23, 1950 in Hermann to the late Charles and Leona (Hug) Stoehr. Charlie grew up in Hermann and graduated from Hermann High School. He worked for several HVAC companies in Hermann before moving to Jefferson City. On September 24, 1976, Charlie married Billie White in Montgomery City and later had their marriage blessed at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jefferson City. He continued his HVAC career with the state of Missouri taking care of the Truman Building until retiring after 23 years of service.

Charlie was a “Jack of all Trades.” Whether it was plumbing, electrical, building or tinkering, you could always rely on him to fix just about anything. He was an outdoorsman spending time either camping with his family, bike riding with the grandkids, gardening flowers and vegetables or enjoying his true love of trout fishing. He hardly ever missed an opening day at Montauk State Park. But if you knew Charlie, you knew how much he loved and truly treasured his family.

Survivors include his wife, Billie of Jefferson City, two daughters, Kelly (Chris) Martin of Centertown, Melanie (Tony) Kirkweg of Osage Bend and five grandchildren, Dakotah Martin, Bailey (Abney) Cooper, Madelyn Martin, Jacob and Luke Kirkweg.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jeremy Secrist officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Samaritan Center, 1310 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City, 65101.
