Aaron Michael Fennewald, 35, of Meta, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

He was born October 24, 1987, in Jefferson City, the son of Duane Francis and Darlene Margaret (Brandt) Fennewald.

He was a 2006 graduate of Fatima High School and was a 2008 graduate of State Technical College of Missouri in Linn.

He was united in marriage on October 16, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia to Laura Quinn Wilson who survives at the home.

Aaron worked for various electrical companies as an electrical foreman; currently working for Coastal Electrical Company in the IBEW 257.

He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas and a member of the Knights of Columbus in St. Thomas. He was also an active supporter of the 4-H.

Aaron loved to be with his wife and his daughters and work on the farm. His pride and joy was his John Deere tractors and all of his animals. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on the family farm. He also enjoyed playing pitch with his family and friends. Aaron loved watching sporting events and especially enjoyed his St. Louis Cardinals. 

Survivors include his wife, Laura Fennewald, Meta; his two daughters, Emerald and Georgia Fennewald, of the home; his parents, Duane and Darlene Fennewald, Westphalia; three siblings, Christopher (Amber) Fennewald, Westphalia; Jennifer (Andy) Brendel, Westphalia; Nicole (Jacob) Linhardt, Bonnots Mill; father-in-law, Dale T. Wilson, Jefferson City; mother-in-law, Rebecca Wilson (Jim Wansing), Vienna; brother-in-law, Dale Lewis (Hannah) Wilson, Jefferson City; paternal grandfather, James Fennewald, Westphalia; grandfather-in-law, Gene Wilson, Meta; eight nieces and nephews, Trent, Audra, Carter, Addilynn, Mackenzie, Allie, Brookelynn, Ella; and many aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in St. Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Leonard Mukiibi officiating.

Burial will be in the Pendleton Cemetery near Meta.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fennewald Education Fund, to support his daughter’s future educational needs.
