OPAL UPSCHULTE

Opal G. Upschulte, 96 of Jefferson City, died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Ashbury Heights. She was born on December 27, 1911, in Mercer, Mo., the daughter of Oswald Tilden and Effie M. Epperson Gregory. She was married on May 23, 1959, in Jefferson City to Herman Edmund Upschulte. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1964. Mrs. Upschulte was an admission clerk for St. Marys Hospital for over sixteen years, retiring in 1977. In earlier years, she worked for East End Shoe Company for twenty-four years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1942; the First United Methodist Prayer Group; Naomi Circle; and Eastern Star Chapter 496. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Alma Willard, and three brothers, Lowell Gregory, Elburn Gregory, and Elmer Gregory. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11-1 a.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
