NATHAN ROBERT MAXWELL

July 16, 1985 — June 15, 2010

Nathan Robert Maxwell, 24, of Holts Summit, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
He was born July 16, 1985, in Sedalia, the son of Christopher Robert Maxwell and Debra Joyce Crider. He was a 2004 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Central Missouri State University and Missouri State University. He was united in marriage on March 27, 2009, in Jefferson City, to Kylynn Michelle Hill who survives. In 2005 Nathan enlisted with the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He recently returned from Iraq in February with the rank of Corporal. Nathan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nathan enjoyed working out, running, computer games, movies, fishing, spending time at the lake, golfing, listening and playing music, comic books, and most especially spending time with his family. Nathan was a happy and loving child and husband, and grew into a deeply compassionate young man. Nathan was a man who loved to serve for others. He was loved greatly and words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Other survivors include: his father, Christopher (Linda) Maxwell, Blue Springs; his mother, Debra (Kenneth) Skouby, Holts Summit; two sisters, Sydney (Jason) Moses, Holts Summit; Sarah Maxwell, Overland Park , KS; three step-sisters, Natasha (Brian) Hastings, St. Charles, Mo; Erin (Ben) Digman, Portland, OR; Maggie Bowman, Marina CA; Maternal grandparents, Richard and Joyce Lilly, Sedalia; great-grandmother, Malva Gehlken, Sedalia; paternal grandmothers, Betty Maxwell, Clinton, Mo; and Esther Maxwell, Independence, Mo; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Teresa Warner, Jefferson City; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and one nephew, James Moses. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Stoddard officiating. Burial with full military honors will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warriors.
