Lee Joseph Govro

July 5, 1906 — February 18, 2002

Mr. Govro was the son of Xavier Govro and Malina Morice Govro. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Kay Linsenbardt, Jefferson City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was employed as manager of lumber yards in Elvins, Desloge, and Weldon Springs before moving to Jefferson City in 1943. He then served as Director of Credit Life insurance for Frontier Life Insurance Co. He later owned and operated the Lee J. Govro Realty Agency until retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knights of Columbus; Elks Lodge; Veteran of Foreign Wars; American Legion; Forty & Eight Voiture; and the United Commercial Travelers of America. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Home for the Aged, or the Special Learning Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War Two.
