Debra Lee Laux, 53, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 12, 1954, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Leo Herman and Bernice Theresa Bax Redel who survive in Jefferson City. She was married on April 6, 1974, in Jefferson City to Joseph Victor Laux who survives at the home. She was a 1973 graduate of Helias High School. Mrs. Laux was employed in the bookkeeping department of Central Bank from 1978 to 1982 after which she chose to be a stay-at-home mother for her two daughters. A loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister, Debra was an active volunteer with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was a member, Helias High School, and the Mothers Morning-Out Program. An especially caring individual who was always lending love and support to her family and friends, she enjoyed walks on the beach, relaxing at the Lake of the Ozarks, and spending time with her family who will miss her love, strength, and guidance. She was an avid antique collector and loved making beautiful crochet items for her home and friends. Other survivors include two daughters, Laura N. Rudolph and her husband, Justin, Jefferson City; and Jennifer D. Laux, Jefferson City; two brothers, Thomas Redel, St. Joseph, Mo.; and Jeffrey Redel and his wife, Candice, St. Joseph, Mo.; and two sisters, Tamara Neuner, Jefferson City; and Myra Redel, Rich Fountain, Mo. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Community Hospices of America, 2418 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
