Clarence Frank Hoffmeyer

February 6, 1911 — March 19, 2003

He was born in Taos to Henry and Katherine Hillen Hoffmeyer. He was married on October 26, 1937 in Taos to Alma Rackers who survives at the home. He is survived by one son, Roger Hoffmeyer, Taos; and four daughters, Norma Jean Distler and Marilyn Hentges, Jefferson City; Melba Hentges, Sumter, South Carolina; and Diane Scott, St. Louis; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernice Roling, Wardsville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver and Celestus ("Buddy") Hoffmeyer; and two sisters, Hedwig Rackers and Agnes Hoffmeyer. He farmed all his life in the Taos area. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a former member of the church choir. Memorials are suggested in honor of Norma Jean Distler to the Mid-MO Chapter of the Alzheimers's Association, 1121 Business Loop 70E, Columbia, MO 65201.
