Charmaine Laura Wolken, 65, of Jefferson City died Wednesday, Jan. 14 2009 at Columbia Regional Hospital. She was born on Nov. 26, 1943 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Leonard William and Katheryn Mathilda Benedict Thompson. She was united in marriage on Jan. 5, 1963 in Jefferson City, to Ronald Joseph Wolken who survives at the home. Mrs. Wolken was co-owner of Jeff-City Printing, Inc., serving as Secretary-Treasurer from 1972-2006. She actively worked in the company from 1984-1996. In earlier years she was an administrative assistant for various government and banking institutions. She enjoyed hot summer days poolside, cooking, hummingbirds, plants, flowers, travel, and her grandchildren. Other survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven C. and Pam Wolken and Joseph L. and Tina Wolken, all of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Zachary S. Wolken, and twins, Austin K Wolken and Ashlynn J. Wolken; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ivan and Karen Thompson, San Antonio; Leonard and Carol Thompson, II, Kansas City; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Diane Tomkinson, Los Angeles; and Toni Thompson Crawford and Tom Crawford, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Pat. G. Dolan and the Rev. Ignazio C. Medina officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation, 1305 Swifts Hwy., Jefferson City or to the Samaritan Center, 1310 E.
