Anthony William Peitzmeyer

May 24, 1923 — June 27, 2003

He was born in Westphalia to Henry Peitzmeyer and Mary Ann Kneuver Peitzmeyer. He was married on November 27, 1947 in Taos to Agatha Elizabeth Eiken who survives at the home. Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carleen Peitzmeyer, Loose Creek; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Larry Nilges, Jefferson City; and Diane and Robert Brandt, Hartsburg; four grandchildren, Julie Fischer, Kevin Nilges, Lisa Ivy, and Keith Nilges; two great-granddaughters, Kelsey Fischer and Madison Fischer; and two sisters, Rose Mary Wieberg, Westpahlia; and Hilda Koetting, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Henry Peitzmeyer; and three sisters, Marie Peitzmeyer, Theckla Mertensmeyer, and Clara Stegeman. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos; Taos Fire Department; Holy Name Society; and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 7314 Route M, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to Masses. Mr. Peitzmeyer was employed with the Tweedie Footwear Company for twenty-two years and with the Missouri Highway Patrol for twenty-six years.
